This process typically combines a core layer of WPC with a protective outer cap layer, enhancing durability and aesthetics.
Structure and Materials:
Core Layer: Composed of WPC-a blend of wood fibers (or flour) and thermoplastics (HDPE), often incorporating recycled materials. This layer provides structural integrity, stiffness, and cost efficiency.
Cap Layer:A polymer-rich shell (without wood fibers) made from durable plastics. It offers enhanced resistance to UV rays, moisture, scratches, and stains, while improving visual appeal with textures or wood-grain patterns.
Manufacturing Process:
Co-Extrusion Technique: Multiple extruders feed distinct materials into a shared die, bonding layers as they cool. This creates a unified profile with a protective outer layer and robust core.
Design Flexibility: Allows customization of colors, textures, and surface finishes to mimic natural wood or modern designs.
